Globe BMX Presents: Gavin Schmitt on Mental Training for Sport

Something exciting has been in the works here at Globe BMX! In normal years during the pre-season months we’d be meeting up each week at the Fieldhouse to train our legs and get back in BMX mode. Instead we are home safe, patiently waiting for BMX season to start! We figured even though we can’t be on bikes (yet), we might as well be preparing for the season in any way that we can. With that, we’re excited to announce the first event in our Virtual Pre-Season Prep Series…Gavin Schmitt on Mental Training for Sport.

Join us on Saturday, March 13th @7pm via meeting info below, and take in a Q&A with our guest, Gavin Schmitt. He’ll talk about some of his tips on how to have a winning attitude, and ways to prep for the big game or race. Some of you may recognize Gavin from when he was a UofS Huskie Volleyball player, or maybe when he was Team Captain for Canada’s Olympic Men’s Volleyball team at the Rio 2016 Olympics. His career extends far beyond that, and if you’re interested, you can read about him here.
