2022/23 Indoor Riding

Updated January 5th, 2023

Outdoor season is officially over, time to move indoors! While the outdoor track is getting cozy under a blanket of snow, we’ve reserved private track lane space indoors at the Saskatoon Field House on select Saturday evenings to keep the legs moving and the dust off the race bikes.

November 19 – December 17: open to any rider who holds a current 2022 Globe BMX membership. Also offering up pay as you go for any non-members who hold a valid SCA licence, but aren’t current 2022 Globe Members – message us for details!

January 7th – March 18: open to any rider who purchases a 2023 Globe BMX membership once registration opens for the 2023 season. Also offering up pay as you go ($20 e-transfer or cash to Globe BMX) for any non-members who hold a valid 2023 SCA licence, but won’t be current 2023 Globe Members – message us for details!

Join us on the following dates for an hour of indoor sprint training:

Sunday, January 15, 2023: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Sunday, January 29, 2023: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Saturday, February 11, 2023: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Sunday, February 26, 2023: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Saturday, March 4, 2023: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Saturday, March 18, 2023: 5:30pm – 6:30pm

How it works:

On the above select evenings, bring your bike, helmet and water to the Field House main entrance. You do not need to sign up, just show up. No earlier than 5 minutes prior is ideal.

Once inside the track area, riders will be organized in groups depending on attendance numbers and age and for one hour, we’ll use the most outer lane for sprint training, timed laps, dead starts, etc.

This is not an ideal time for striders to participate in lane practice, however they can use the side area of the track as long as they have parental supervision.

Attendance Notes:

  • Please carry bikes when transporting from car to track. Snow, dirt and other debris will get on tires if you roll your bikes and the staff have requested we make all efforts to keep tires clean prior to riding inside.
  • We only pay for one lane, this is why it’s important to stay in Lane 8 unless you are passing. This is also why it’s not the best option for strider riders to attend these sessions.
