2021 Indoor Riding

Outdoor season is officially over, time to move indoors! While the outdoor track will be wet and snowy soon, we’ve reserved private track lane space indoors at the Saskatoon Field House on select Sunday evenings to keep the legs moving and the dust off the race bikes.

October 24 – December 19: open to any rider who holds a current 2021 Globe BMX membership

January 9th – March 27: open to any rider who purchases a 2022 Globe BMX membership once registration opens for the 2022 season.

Join us on the following Sundays from 5pm – 6pm:

October 24th
November 7th
November 21st
November 28th (pending confirmation)
December 19th
January 9th
January 23rd
February 6th
February 27th
March 13th
March 27th

How it works:

On the above select Sunday evenings, bring your bike, helmet and water to the Field House main entrance. You do not need to sign up, just show up. Oh, and it’s free of charge – included in our Membership fees!

Once inside the track area, riders will be organized in groups depending on attendance numbers and age and for one hour, we’ll use the most outer lane for sprint training, timed laps, dead starts, etc.

This is not an ideal time for striders to participate in lane practice, however they can use the side area of the track as long as they have parental supervision.

IMPORTANT: The Saskatoon Field House is considered a City of Saskatoon Leisure facility and provides the following statement on their website re: vaccine and mask requirements while attending/using their facilities:

Effective September 1, non-medical face masks are required inside civic facilities including Leisure Centres. Masks must be worn while participating in physical activities except for while in the water. According to the Government of Saskatchewan public health order, youth athletes under age 18 are exempt from the masking order for indoor youth athletics and while they are actively engaged in athletic activity. Masking in venues hosting youth athletics will remain required for general entry and exit into the facility, for athletes and spectators.

Effective October 1, 2021, the Provincial Public Health Order requires patrons 12 and older to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours along with photo ID for public access to all dryland areas in this facility including:

Fitness & Weight Rooms
