Outdoor season is officially over, time to move indoors! While the outdoor track will be wet and snowy soon, we’ve reserved private track lane space indoors at the Saskatoon Field House on select Sunday evenings to keep the legs moving and the dust off the race bikes.
October 24 – December 19: open to any rider who holds a current 2021 Globe BMX membership
January 9th – March 27: open to any rider who purchases a 2022 Globe BMX membership once registration opens for the 2022 season.
Join us on the following Sundays from 5pm – 6pm:
December 5th (NEW)
How it works:
On the above select Sunday evenings, bring your bike, helmet and water to the Field House main entrance. You do not need to sign up, just show up. Oh, and it’s free of charge – included in our Membership fees!
Once inside the track area, riders will be organized in groups depending on attendance numbers and age and for one hour, we’ll use the most outer lane for sprint training, timed laps, dead starts, etc.
This is not an ideal time for striders to participate in lane practice, however they can use the side area of the track as long as they have parental supervision.
IMPORTANT: The Saskatoon Field House is considered a City of Saskatoon Leisure facility and you must adhere by their guidelines re: Masks and Vaccines. Please read this link before each session in case information has changed: https://www.saskatoon.ca/parks-recreation-attractions/recreational-facilities-sport-fields/leisure-centres/saskatoon-field-house
- Please use the Loading Dock entrance, which enters directly into the track area. DO NOT use the main entrance. This helps the staff better check for vaccination information.
- Please carry bikes when transporting from car to track. Snow, dirt and other debris will get on tires if you roll your bikes and the staff have requested we make all efforts to keep tires clean prior to riding inside.
- We only pay for one lane, this is why it’s important to stay in Lane 8 unless you are passing. This is also why it’s not the best option for strider riders to attend these sessions.
