There are plenty of items to take note of to ensure a smooth and efficient race for everyone – so hunker down and read this whole post please!

RACE REGISTRATION – make sure you have registered online to be eligible to race. The deadline is midnight on the Tuesday before Thursday racing so that we have enough time to prepare for our new COVID modified race nights. The registration link will change each week, so please use the COVID RACING page each week to reference the registration link next to each date. We only post one week at at time. NOTE – You will not receive a confirmation email once the form is submitted.
RACE SCHEDULE – take note of the race schedule ESPECIALLY the check in timeframe. IF you are going to be late or can no longer make it – please let us know!
Weekly Schedule:
GROUP 1
- 5:00PM – 5:30PM: Check In & Staging
- 5:30PM – 6:15PM: Group 1 Race
- 40 racers + 8 volunteers max
- Based on current and past numbers, this is naturally going to be the largest group
- 45 min race period to allow for mains if needed
- 6:15PM – 6:30PM: Group 1 departure
GROUP 2
- 6:30PM – 7:00PM: Check In & Staging
- 7:00PM – 7:30PM: Group 2 Race
- 40 racers + 8 volunteers max
- Based on current and past numbers, this is naturally going to be a smaller group than group 1
- 30 minute race period
- 7:30PM – 7:45PM: Group 2 departure
GROUP 3
- 7:45PM – 8:00PM: Check In & Staging
- 8:00PM – 8:30PM: Group 3 Race
- 40 racers + 8 volunteers max
- Based on current and past numbers, this is naturally going to the smallest group of the evening
- 30 minute race period
- If you have racers in group 1, you can choose to stay or leave and come back
ELIGIBILITY & FORMAT
– riders 5 and older will be grouped with their age group. Different from regular seasons, we will not be using classes just yet, only age.
– Striders / Under 4 will race a modified format of 2 motos, everyone else will race the standard 3 moto format.
– All riders must register in advance using the online registration form linked about in the Registration section.
WHAT TO BRING
– Bike, full face helmet with visor, proper race clothing, gloves and other race gear
– License (digital versions should be emailed, if not, I will have a report to reference)
– Race Plate (should stay on your bike) and if you don’t have one yet, your volunteer bond in exchange for one. First race night you will get one at registration/check in.
– Small toolkit with side cutters, multi-tool, wrenches, hex/allen keys….whatever you might need to make sure you can adjust your gear as needed. Some even bring a tire pump which comes in useful!
– Come with your motos and lanes already written down. Since these will be posted in advance, no need to scramble on site and write these/tape to bike.
– Chairs if you want to sit down for spectating
– Water & snacks
– Parking as usual will be in the Lakewood Civic Center lots.
